Mini bio

How it started.

Sauvé’s mother helped arrange an internship at French Vogue. Sauvé later returned as an assistant, working with photographers including Guy Bourdin and Annie Leibovitz, before building a freelance career.

A lasting partnership.

The collaboration with Nicolas Ghesquière became a defining part of Sauvé’s work, helping shape Balenciaga’s image and continuing at Louis Vuitton after his arrival in 2013. Alongside consulting and campaigns, Sauvé held senior fashion roles at W and T: The New York Times Style Magazine.

A world beyond the runway.

In 2017, Sauvé founded Mastermind, an independent, English-language cultural review published twice a year in Paris. Its themed chapters bring fashion into conversation with art, architecture, cinema, literature and philosophy. The magazine lists Sauvé as editorial and creative director.

Opening the archive.

The 2026 monograph The World to Come gathers editorial photographs, campaigns and personal images from the Balenciaga years onward. Sauvé also curated an exhibition of photographs from Mastermind at Thaddaeus Ropac in Paris.
