Mini bio
How it started.
Reshu grew up in Gorakhpur and made her home in Kolkata. She started MintsRecipes Hindi in February 2014, filming on a Samsung Galaxy S phone with encouragement from her husband. Her first filmed dish was kesariya chawal.
Finding an audience.
Early shoots fitted around family life and her husband’s free Sundays. She says moving to two recipes a week in February 2016 helped the channel grow. By August 2020, she reported more than a million subscribers.
Inside her kitchen.
Her recipes centre on vegetarian food, everyday ingredients and eggless cakes and cookies. In her Eat My News interview, she credited a newspaper article about Nisha Madhulika with inspiring her to start. She also recalled cooking live with childhood inspiration Sanjeev Kapoor.
Teaching others.
Alongside her videos, Reshu offers culinary workshops through Mints Recipes Culinary, including bread making and sugar-free ice creams.
