Mini bio
How it started.
Sarah started Broma Bakery in 2010 while she was a homesick college student missing her mom’s desserts. The blog gave her a place to bring baking and photography together, with familiar sweets as its starting point.
Making it her work.
As she explained on Second Life, she studied anthropology at New York University before transferring to the University of Michigan. After graduation she worked as a catering director, then gave herself two months to make Broma Bakery profitable. It worked, and she later expanded into food photography education and social videos.
From blog to bookshelf.
Her debut cookbook, Sweet Tooth, arrived on October 8, 2024, with 100 dessert recipes and became a New York Times bestseller. Her work ranges from brownies and cookies to occasion cakes, while the Sweet Tooth baking series brings her kitchen to YouTube.
