Mini bio
How it started.
Scott went to college with a suitcase and a grill. Learning through plenty of cooking mistakes eventually gave him the idea for illustrated instructions that other backyard cooks could follow. He started GrillinFools in 2008.
Finding his audience.
He initially used the blog to share recipes with friends. A more focused effort on Instagram in January 2015 helped it grow. In 2018, he filmed a Coca-Cola tailgating segment at Charlotte Motor Speedway with NASCAR drivers Bubba Wallace and Daniel Suárez.
Cooking with others.
His father Greg joined GrillinFools in 2009. Scott later appeared alongside Derek Wolf and Susie Bulloch on Steven Raichlen’s Project Fire. He also runs CookinFools with Greg and cofounded Build Digital Marketing with Cupcake Project creator Stefani Pollack.
