Mini bio
How it started.
Bailey trained at Le Cordon Bleu in San Francisco and built a private-chef business before taking it fully vegan. In her Vegan Business Talk interview, she described the turning point while gutting a fish and remembering an animal activist’s talk. She also spoke about losing clients after the switch.
Finding her audience.
When the pandemic disrupted her business, a pivot helped lead to a book deal, as she recounted on Vegan Business Talk. Her first cookbook, Cook. Heal. Go Vegan!, followed in 2021. She now shares recipes and meal-prep series through Chef Bai’s Cooking Club, alongside her cookbooks.
Food and her own story.
Bailey says living with endometriosis helped motivate her move toward plant-based eating. Her work brings that personal experience together with culinary training, vegan comfort food and conversations about women’s health. She runs the business with her husband, Steve, in San Diego.
