Mini bio
How it started.
Inspired by fresh produce in and around Austin, Jeanine started Love & Lemons in 2011. A self-taught home cook with an art-school background, she built a place for seasonal vegetarian recipes and practical guides to cooking vegetables.
From blog to bookshelf.
Love & Lemons won Saveur’s Readers’ Choice for Best Cooking Blog in 2014. Her first cookbook followed in 2016, organized by produce from apples to zucchini. Every Day arrived in 2019, followed by the New York Times bestseller Simple Feel Good Food in 2023.
What she’s making now.
Her fourth book, Pop of Flavor, came out in October 2026. In her interview with Eden Grinshpan, Jeanine described finding joy in cooking again by building simple meals around sauces, herbs, and pickles. She also develops recipes for brands including Whole Foods, KitchenAid, and Le Creuset.
