Mini bio
How it started.
Madeleine’s route into food began in Australia. In her Sainsbury’s Magazine interview, she recalled working in a Bondi café and posting pictures of her cooking on Facebook. A friend suggested a food blog, even though she had never read one herself. Her own digestive difficulties also shaped the work: her official biography dates her IBS diagnosis to 2010.
The books that built the community.
Get the Glow arrived in 2015, pairing recipes with a six-week plan. It became a Sunday Times bestseller, and Madeleine says it has sold more than 150,000 copies. Ready, Steady, Glow followed in 2016 with quick weekday cooking and more involved weekend meals. A Year of Beautiful Eating, published in 2017, organised its recipes around the seasons.
Finding a wider rhythm.
Madeleine expanded from food into yoga and meditation, then created The Glow Space to bring movement, meal plans and guided practices into people’s homes. Her newsletter, The Afterglow, adds personal essays and practical food ideas. In 2026 she wrote openly about moving away from restrictive eating and the guilt of trying to do every wellness routine perfectly.
What comes next.
In July 2026 she announced Fibre First, her fourth book, and opened pre-orders. Its UK publication is scheduled for 14 January 2027. That summer also brought a limited-edition menu collaboration with Malibu Kitchen at The Ned, including a halloumi glow bowl and salmon dishes.
