Mini bio
How it started.
Thom became head chef at a Latin American restaurant at eighteen. He left hospitality at twenty-three and spent the following decade working in his family’s business, travelling around the UK and Europe.
Finding his way back.
In 2019 he began Bbox Food on Facebook and Instagram. Sharing his cooking brought a growing audience and helped draw him back to restaurant life. In September 2020 he opened The Flintlock in Cheddleton, in the same family restaurant building where his career had begun.
From the pass to your kitchen.
His online recipes grew alongside The Flintlock, followed by his Great British Menu debut in 2023 and second restaurant, Après, in 2024. His work now stretches from practical home-cooking lessons to his debut cookbook, Home Made, published in September 2026.
