Mini bio

How it started.

Rachel’s food career began with a modest idea: sell overnight oats in jars around Manhattan. Her then-fiancé Jordan suggested sharing recipes online first. She started posting while working in the food and beverage industry, then committed to growing her own brand after losing her job in 2015.

Finding her audience.

Simple recipes became her way of connecting with home cooks. By 2019, TIME was profiling her move from Instagram and her blog into publishing. Her debut, Just the Good Stuff, arrived in 2020 with more than 100 recipes and gluten-free, Paleo and plant-based options.

Cooking together.

Jordan joined her business full-time in July 2021 after a career in finance. Rachel says his celiac diagnosis is why every recipe she has shared since September 2021 is gluten-free. Their work spans family dinners, breakfasts, snacks and baking.

Beyond the recipe feed.

Rachel and Jordan launched grt sht ventures in April 2022. She also writes the more, please Substack, sharing meal plans and grocery advice. In 2026, she launched cadootz! and published More, Please!, bringing her family-focused approach to snacks and another cookbook.
